DAVIDSON COUNTY LAWYER CENSURED
On December 12, 2012, C. LeAnn Smith, an attorney licensed to practice law in Tennessee, received a
Public Censure from the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Tennessee Supreme Court.
On June 11, 2012, Ms. Smith was convicted of Driving Under the Influence, Second Offense. By
engaging in the conduct underlying the conviction, Ms. Smith has violated Rule of Professional Conduct 8.4(b)
(misconduct), and is hereby Publicly Censured for this violation.
A Public Censure is a rebuke and warning to the attorney, but it does not affect the attorneyâs ability to
practice law.
