PUBLIEC CENSURE

The above complaints were filed against Kahliel Robert Barlowe, an attorney licensed to

practice law in Tennessee, alleging certain acts of‘misoonduet. Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9,

the Board of Profeseional Responsibility considered these matters at its meeting on September 9,

201 6.

Mr. Barlowe’s law license was administratively suSpended on May I 1, 2016, for failure to

pay annual fees and to comply with IOLTA reporting. On May 23, 2016, Respondent infonned

three judges of his administrative suspension. On May 31, 2016, while still suspended,

Respondent appeared in court in front of another judge, argued substantive issues on. the ease, and

set the case for trial,

By the aforementioned acts, Mr, Barlowe has violated Rule 5.5(a) (unauthorized practice

of law) of the Rules of Professional Conduct and is; hereby publicly censured for this violation.
