KNOX COUNTY LAWYER CENSURED
On July 20, 2012, C. Coulter Gilbert, an attorney licensed to practice law in Tennessee, received a
Public Censure from the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Tennessee Supreme Court.
Mr. Gilbertâs license was suspended for CLE noncompliance, and he practiced law for two months
while his license was suspended. After he completed the CLE, his license was reinstated.
By the aforementioned acts, C. Coulter Gilbert, has violated Rule of Professional Conduct 5.5
(Unauthorized Practice of Law) and is hereby Publicly Censured for this violation.
A Public Censure is a rebuke and warning to the attorney, but it does not affect the attorneyâs ability to
practice law.
