PUBLIC CENSURE
The above complaint was ï¬led agaénst_Venessa Lynn Lemons, an attorney licensed t0
practice law in Tennessee, alleging certain acis of misconduct. Pursuant to Supreme Court Rule -
9, the Board of Professional Responsibility considered these matters at its meeting on September
21, 2012.
On April 5, 2011, the Respondent was appeinted to defend the client in several criminal
cases. Because the Respendent did not appear for Cnurt hearings or communicate with her
client, the Respondent was removed from the cases on May 1, 2012. The Respondent has failed
to respond to this complaint of misoeqduct.
By the aforementioned acts, Vanessa Lynn Lemons, has violated Ruies of Professional
Conduct 1.1 (enmpetence), 1.3 (dï¬igence), 1.4 (commieation), 1.16 (terminating
representation), and 8.1 (responding to discipiinary authority) and is hereby Publicly Censured
for these violations.
