KNOXVILLE LAWYER REINSTATED BY SUPREME COURT
Keith A. Pope, a Knoxville attorney, has been reinstated to the practice of law by Order of the
Tennessee Supreme Court entered July 8, 2010. Mr. Pope was temporarily suspended from the practice of
law by Order of the Supreme Court on June 2, 2010, for posing a threat of substantial harm to the public.
On June 9, 2010, Mr. Pope filed a Petition for Dissolution of the Temporary Suspension. On July 2, 2010, a
Hearing Panel entered a recommendation that the temporary suspension be dissolved with the following
conditions: (1) Mr. Popeâs total compliance with his monitoring agreement entered into with the Tennessee
Lawyersâ Assistance Program (âTLAPâ); (2) the extension of Mr. Popeâs TLAP monitoring contract to
three (3) years; and (3) a request that TLAP notify the Board immediately of any noncompliance by Mr.
Pope. The temporary suspension was dissolved subject to the above conditions pursuant to the Supreme
Courtâs Order of July 8, 2010.
