PUBLIC CENSURE
The above complaint was filed against Darryl Wayne Humphrey, an attorney licensed to
practice law in Tennessee, alleging certain acts of misconduct. Pursuant to Tenn.. Sup. Ct. R. 9,
the Board of Professional Responsibility considered these matters at its meeting on September 8,
2023.
Mr. Humphrey received a disciplinary suspension on September 25, 2017. Mr. Humphrey
filed a petition for reinstatement on June 2, 2021, which was granted on April 8, 2022. Mr.
Humphrey failed to timely comply with three (3) conditions in the April 8, 2022 Order reinstating
his law license.
By these acts, Mr. Humphrey has violated Rules of Professional Conduct 8.4(d)(conduct
prejudicial to the administration of justice) and 8.4(g)(willful violation of a court order), and is
hereby Publicly Censured for these violations.
