MURFREESBORO LAWYER CENSURED

On January 19, 2010, Carl Richard Moore, an attorney licensed to practice law in Tennessee, received a
Public Censure from the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Tennessee Supreme Court.

Mr. Moore admitted that several thousand dollars of his own money was in his IOLTA trust account.
Mr. Moore used money from the trust account to pay personal and business expenses.

Carl Richard Moore violated Rule of Professional Conduct 1.15 (safekeeping property). For this
violation, the Board of Professional Responsibility publicly censures Carl Richard Moore. A public censure is a
rebuke and warning to the attorney, but it does not affect the attorney’s ability to practice law.
