DAVIDSON COUNTY LAWYER CENSURED
On July 15, 2019, Harold Scott Saul, an attorney licensed to practice law in Tennessee, received a Public
Censure from the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Tennessee Supreme Court.
In one complaint, Mr. Saul delayed in the drafting and execution of the documents evidencing a divorce
settlement and then failed to file the documents with the Court. In another complaint, Mr. Saul agreed to draft a
buy-sell agreement but took no action for six months after agreeing to handling the matter. In both complaints,
Mr. Saul failed to respond to client phone calls and other inquiries about the status of the representation.
By these acts, Mr. Saul, has violated Rules of Professional Conduct 1.3 (Diligence) and 1.4
(Communication) and is hereby Publicly Censured for these violations.
A Public Censure is a rebuke and warning to the attorney, but it does not affect the attorneyâs ability to
practice law.
