IN THE SUPREME COURT OF TENNESSEE
AT KNOXVILLE
February 11, 2020 Session

DOUGLAS RALPH BEIER v. BOARD OF PROFESSIONAL
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SUPREME COURT OF TENNESSEE

Chancery Court for Hamblen County
No. 2018-CV-177

No. E2019-00463-SC-R3-BP

JUDGMENT

This attorney disciplinary case was heard on direct appeal as of right from the
Chancery Court for Hamblen County. We have reviewed the entire record, the briefs, and
heard argument of the Appellant attorney and of counsel. We affirm the chancery court’s
affirmation of the hearing panel’s findings of fact and conclusions regarding rule violations
and the aggravating and mitigating factors. In light of the seriousness of the attorney’s
rule violations, we also affirm the chancery court’s decision to increase the sanction
imposed by the hearing panel, to a two-year suspension of the attorney’s law license.

In accordance with the opinion filed herein, the decision of the chancery court is
affirmed. Costs on appeal are to be taxed to Douglas Ralph Beier, for which execution
may issue, if necessary.

It is so ORDERED.
