NASHVILLE LAWYER SUSPENDED
On May 14, 2008, Floyd Nolton Price of Nashville, Tennessee, was suspended by the Tennessee
Supreme Court for a period of three (3) years, retroactive to March 14, 2005, pursuant to Rule 9, Section 4.2, of
the Rules of the Supreme Court. Mr. Price was furthered ordered to make restitution in the amount of
$3,000.00 to a former client, submit another clientâs fee dispute to the Nashville Bar Associationâs fee dispute
resolution process and pay the restitution determined appropriate by that process, and pay the expenses and
costs of the disciplinary proceedings against him, pursuant to Rule 9, Section 4.7, of the Rules of the Supreme
Court.
Floyd Nolton Price violated disciplinary rules by neglecting and abandoning clients, failing to
communicate with clients, failing to represent clients competently, failing to comply with court orders, and
practicing law while his license was suspended. His actions violated the following Rules of Professional
Conduct: 1.1 (Competence), 1.3 (Diligence), 1.4 (Communication), 1.5 (Fees), 1.15 (Safekeeping of Property),
1.16 (Declining and Terminating Representation), 5.5 (Unauthorized Practice of Law) and 8.4 (Misconduct).
