ORDER OF REINSTATEMENT
This matter is before the Court, pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 30.4(c), upon a
Petition for Reinstatement filed on February 2, 2015, by the Petitioner, Elizabeth
Catherine Cox, now Elizabeth Catherine Velasquez. Ms. Cox was suspended from the
practice of law by Order of this Court on January 30, 2015, for a period of three (3) years
retroactive to February 3, 2014, with one (1) year to be served on active suspension and
the remaining two (2) years served on probation subject to certain conditions set forth in
the Order of Enforcement. A Notice of Submission was filed by the Chief Disciplinary
Counsel indicating Ms. Cox has satisfied all conditions set forth in the Order of
Enforcement except payment of the Board's costs and expenses in the amount of
$676.88. Ms. Cox has entered into a payment plan with the Board to pay $50.00 on
March 13, 2015; $200.00 on March 27, 2015; $200.00 on April 10, 2015; and $226.88 on
April 24, 2015; and, upon that agreement, the petition is satisfactory to the Board, and
Ms. Cox is eligible for reinstatement.
From all of which the Court grants the Petition for Reinstatement.
IT IS, THEREFORE, CONSIDERED, ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND
DECREED BY THE COURT:
1. The Petitioner, Elizabeth Catherine Cox, is hereby reinstated to the practice
of law in the State of Tennessee pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, §30.4(c).
2. Ms. Cox shall pay to the Clerk ofthis Court the costs incurred herein within
ninety(90) days of the entry of this Order, for which execution may issue if necessary.
3. The Board of Professional Responsibility shall cause notice of this
reinstatement to be published as required by Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 28.11.
