MARYVILLE LAWYER SUSPENDED BY SUPREME COURT
By Order of the Supreme Court of Tennessee entered March 10, 2006, Charles Alphonso
Carpenter, a Maryville attorney, was suspended from the practice of law, pending further orders
of the Court, pursuant to Section 14 of Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9. Mr. Carpenter's
suspension resulted from his plea of guilty in the criminal case State of Michigan v. Carpenter,
No. DR-1-05-0000941, filed in the State of Michigan District Court, Judicial District 14A, on
April 26, 2005, to a serious crime, i.e., the offense of False Pretenses between $199.00 and
$1,000.00 (Mich. Code Section 750.218A).
