DAVIDSON COUNTY LAWYER REINSTATED
By Order of the Tennessee Supreme Court entered July 14, 2020, Newton S. Holiday was reinstated to
the active practice of law.
On June 9, 2020, the Board filed a Petition for Temporary Suspension based upon the failure of Mr.
Holiday to respond to the Boardâs request for information, and Mr. Holiday was suspended by the Tennessee
Supreme Court by Order entered June 18, 2020. Subsequent thereto, Mr. Holiday provided an appropriate
response to the Board and on July 10, 2020, filed a Motion to Set Aside Order of Temporary Suspension. The
Board filed a Response on July 13, 2020, acknowledging the sufficiency of Mr. Holidayâs response and no
objection to his motion.
