NASHVILLE ATTORNEY CENSURED
On October 17, 2006, Charles W. Cross of Nashville, Tennessee, received a
Public Censure from the Tennessee Supreme Court. The Censure was based upon Cross
entering a Conditional Guilty Plea to a Petition for Discipline filed by the Board of Professional
Responsibility against Cross. Cross neglected a clientâs case and failed to communicate with his
client in violation of Rules 1.3, 1.4, 1.16 and 8.4(a)(b) of the Tennessee Rules of Professional
Conduct. Cross, through counsel, agreed to accept a Public Censure to resolve the Boardâs
formal disciplinary charges. The Censure declares Crossâ actions to be improper ethical conduct
but does not limit Crossâ right to practice law.
