ROANE COUNTY LAWYER TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED
On February 19, 2014, the Supreme Court of Tennessee temporarily suspended Spence Roberts Bruner
from the practice of law upon finding that Mr. Bruner has failed to respond to the Board regarding a complaint
of misconduct. Section 4.3 of Supreme Court Rule 9 provides for the immediate summary suspension of an
attorneyâs license to practice law in cases of an attorneyâs failure to respond to the Board regarding a complaint
of misconduct.
Mr. Bruner is currently suspended by the Supreme Court of Tennessee by Order entered January 31,
2014, and shall comply with the requirements of Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9, Section 18, regarding the
obligations and responsibilities of suspended attorneys.
The Order of Temporary Suspension shall remain in effect until dissolution or modification by the
Supreme Court. Mr. Bruner may for good cause request dissolution or modification of the suspension by
petition to the Supreme Court.
