MEMPHIS LAWYER SUSPENDED

On October 8, 2012, the Tennessee Supreme Court suspended Anthony Bernard Norris of Memphis,
Tennessee, for five (5) years pursuant to Rule 9, Section 4.2, of the Rules of the Supreme Court. As conditions
for reinstatement, Mr. Norris must pay Board of Professional Responsibility registration fees from 1996 to
present and any Professional Privilege taxes which may be assessed against him by the Department of Revenue
for each year that he was engaged in the practice of law.
Mr. Norris’ law license was administratively suspended in 1995 for failing to comply with his annual
Continuing Legal Education obligations and has been continually suspended since that time. In 1998, Mr.
Norris assisted in the formation of the law firm Bruce, Norris & Bass, PLLC. Mr. Norris disassociated himself
from Bruce, Norris & Bass, PLLC in the latter part of 2001, and the law firm dissolved in 2004. In 2000, Mr.
Norris began serving as Vice President and General Counsel for Worldwide Label and Packaging, LLC. Mr.
Norris publicly held himself out as General Counsel for Worldwide Label and Packaging, LLC and engaged in
the practice of law while his license to practice law was suspended. Mr. Norris discontinued his role as General
Counsel with Worldwide Label and Packaging, LLC when he was elected Chairman and appointed President on
January 23, 2012.
By the aforementioned acts, Anthony Bernard Norris has violated Rule of Professional Conduct 5.5(a)
(engaging in the unauthorized practice of law) and is hereby suspended for this violation.
Mr. Norris was further ordered to pay the expenses and costs of the disciplinary proceedings against him
pursuant to Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9, Section 24.3, and fully comply in all respects with the
requirements and obligations of suspended attorneys as set forth in Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9, Section
18.
