NASHVILLE LAWYER TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED
On June 11, 2012, the Supreme Court of Tennessee temporarily suspended the law license of Dana L.
Nero pursuant to Section 4.3 of Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9. The Board of Professional Responsibility
petitioned the Court to temporarily suspend Ms. Neroâs law license due to the failure to substantially comply
with her Tennessee Lawyers Assistance Program (TLAP) Monitoring Agreement.
Effective June 11, 2012, Ms. Nero is precluded from accepting any new cases and she must cease
representing existing clients by July 11, 2012. After July 11, 2012, Ms. Nero shall not use any indicia of
lawyer, legal assistant, or law clerk nor maintain a presence where the practice of law is conducted.
Ms. Nero must notify all clients being represented in pending matters, as well as co-counsel and
opposing counsel of the Supreme Courtâs Order suspending her law license. Section 18 of Supreme Court Rule
9 requires Ms. Nero to deliver to all clients any papers or property to which they are entitled.
This suspension remains in effect until dissolution or modification by the Supreme Court. Ms. Nero
may for good cause request dissolution or modification of the suspension by petition to the Supreme Court.
