Public censure on December 16, 1997. He placed an advertisement in the Yellow Pages without
using his name, instead referring to "A National Network of Experienced Domestic Relations
Attorneys." The ad had the logo of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association -- without stating
Teeter's membership therein -- and the logo was used without their permission. The Board found
the ad misleading as it implied sponsorship by the T.T.L.A. and because callers did not know
they were being routed directly to Teeter's office when they called the 1-800-DIVORCE number.
Further, the Board found the ad to have material misrepresentations of fact or omissions of fact
and did not contain the name of at least one Tennessee lawyer who would perform the stated
services.
