IN THE SUPREME COURT OF TENNESSEE
AT NASHVILLE

IN RE: WILLIAM SHEA FORGETY, BPR #034235
An Attorney Licensed to Practice Law in Tennessee
(Sumner County)
_____________________________

No. M2025-01331-SC-BAR-BP
_____________________________

ORDER DISSOLVING TEMPORARY SUSPENSION

On September 9, 2025, an Order of Temporary Suspension was entered against
William Shea Forgety for failing to respond to the Board concerning a complaint of
misconduct. On September 24, 2025, Mr. Forgety filed a Petition for Dissolution
demonstrating he has now responded to the disciplinary complaint and complied with all
conditions imposed by the Order of Temporary Suspension.

On October 2, 2025, the Board filed an Answer to the petition in which the Board
admitted receiving a response to the disciplinary complaint from Petitioner, which
Disciplinary Counsel deemed sufficient. The Board’s response submits further that
considering the present circumstances in this matter, no hearing on the petition for
dissolution is necessary.

Based upon the foregoing facts and circumstances, the Court is satisfied there is no
reason under Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 12.3(d) to hold a hearing on the petition to dissolve and
that immediate dissolution of the temporary suspension is appropriate.

IT IS, THEREFORE, CONSIDERED, ORDERED, ADJUDGED, AND
DECREED BY THE COURT THAT:

1. The temporary suspension imposed upon William Shea Forgety by Order of
Temporary Suspension entered September 9, 2025, is hereby dissolved.

2. The Board of Professional Responsibility shall cause notice of this
reinstatement to be published as required by Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 28.11.
