NASHVILLE ATTORNEY CENSURED

On January 12, 2007, Leroy Cain, Jr., of Nashville, Tennessee, received a Public Censure from
the Board of Professional Responsibility. Cain was given notice of the Censure and did not request a hearing.
Cain accepted $13,700.00 in fees regarding an estate without first seeking or obtaining court approval for his
fees. The Seventh Circuit Court, Probate Division for Davidson County, Tennessee entered an Order on June
29, 2006 finding that it was improper for Cain to charge the estate a fee and demand that the fee be paid without
first seeking court approval. Cain is publicly censured by the Board with the condition that Cain comply with
any Probate Court Order issued in this estate regarding Cain’s fees. Cain’s charging and accepting the fee
without first seeking or obtaining court approval violation Rules 1.5 and 8.4(a)(d) of the Tennessee Rules of
Professional Conduct.

The Censure declares Cain’s actions to be improper but does not limit his right to practice law.
