HICKMAN COUNTY LAWYER REINSTATED BY SUPREME COURT
Douglas P. Nanney has been reinstated to the practice of law by Order of the Tennessee Supreme Court
entered June 29, 2012. Mr. Nanney was suspended from the practice of law by Order of the Supreme Court on
February 3, 2005, for a period of two years. On January 12, 2012, Mr. Nanney filed a Petition for
Reinstatement. A Hearing Panel determined that Mr. Nanney should be reinstated; however, he must subject
himself to monitoring by the Tennessee Lawyers Assistance Program and complete additional ethics and
professionalism requirements with the Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization. Further,
Mr. Nanney must pay the costs of the reinstatement proceeding.
