NASHVILLE LAWYER TRANSFERRED TO DISABILITY INACTIVE STATUS
On September 8, 2008, James R. Everett, III, of Nashville, Tennessee, was transferred to disability
inactive status by the Tennessee Supreme Court pursuant to Rule 9, §21.3 of the Rules of the Supreme Court for
an indefinite period of time and until further orders of the Supreme Court.
Mr. Everett filed a Petition for Transfer to Disability Inactive Status on May 9, 2008. Pursuant to the
Supreme Courtâs September 8, 2008 Order, Mr. Everett is also required to pay the Board of Professional
Responsibilityâs expenses and costs relating to Mr. Everettâs Petition for Transfer to Disability Inactive Status.
Mr. Everett cannot practice law while on disability inactive status. Mr. Everett can return to the practice
of law only after reinstatement by order of the Supreme Court.
