On January 7, 2026, Curtis Douglas Johnson, an attorney licensed to practice law in Tennessee, received
a Public Censure from the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Tennessee Supreme Court.
In representing a client in a bankruptcy matter, Mr. Johnson failed to communicate with his client and
failed to respond to multiple requests for information.
By these acts, Mr. Johnson has violated Rule of Professional Conduct 1.4 (communication) and is hereby
Publicly Censured for this violation.
A Public Censure is a rebuke and warning to the attorney, but it does not affect the attorneyâs ability to
practice law.
