On April 7, 2026, David Bennett LaRoche, an attorney licensed to practice law in Tennessee, received a
Public Censure from the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Tennessee Supreme Court.
Previously, Mr. LaRoche was issued a Private Reprimand and was ordered to refund his clientâs money.
Mr. LaRoche failed to meet the condition of his Private Reprimand and did not refund his client. Therefore, Mr.
LaRoche is being Publicly Censure for his failure to comply with the condition of the Private Reprimand.
On July 30, 2025, Mr. LaRoche was issued a Private Reprimand under TBPR Case No. 100906-2025-4-
MH-INV for violations of the Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1 (competence); 1.3 (diligence); 1.4
(communication); and 1.16 (declining or terminating representation). Additionally, as a condition of the Private
Reprimand, Mr. LaRoche was ordered to refund $500 to the Complainant within 60 days of issuance of the Private
Reprimand. Mr. LaRoche failed to refund the money and failed to respond to a lawful demand for information
from Disciplinary Counsel concerning this matter.
By these acts, Mr. LaRoche has violated Rules of Professional Conduct 3.1 (meritorious claims and
contentions), 8.1 (bar admission and disciplinary matters), and 8.4 (misconduct) and is hereby Publicly Censured
for these violations.
A Public Censure is a rebuke and warning to the attorney, but it does not affect the attorneyâs ability to
practice law.
