Suspended for sixty (60) days, commencing March 31, 1980. He was convicted, upon pleas of
guilty, of the offenses of simple assault and malicious destruction of property in September 1976
and July 1977, respectively; he participated in the trial on behalf of a client accused of a felony
after he had previously acted in the case in a judicial capacity; he failed to adequately monitor,
control and supervise the activities of his employees in preventing the unauthorized practice of
law; and he failed to avoid even the appearance of professional impropriety by allowing it to
appear as if he were guilty of failing to preserve the confidences and secrets of a client and
failing to exercise independent professional judgment on behalf of the client.
