NASHVILLE ATTORNEY SUSPENDED
On September 3, 2010, the Tennessee Supreme Court suspended the law license of Reginald
Lamont Horton pursuant to Section 14 of Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9. The Court suspended Mr.
Hortonâs law license based upon Mr. Hortonâs plea of guilty to serious crimes, i.e., delivery of .5 gr.
cocaine; possession of .5 gr. cocaine with intent to deliver; attempted theft of property of over $1,000;
facilitation of sale of 300 gr. cocaine; and possession of 10 lbs. marijuana with intent to deliver.
The Supreme Court further ordered the Board of Professional Responsibility to institute a formal
proceeding to determine the extent of final discipline to be imposed as a result of the conviction. Mr.
Horton was ordered to fully comply with the provisions of Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9, Section 18.
Since April 17, 2009, Mr. Horton has been temporarily suspended by the Tennessee Supreme Court for
posing a threat of substantial harm to the public by offering to provide legal services in exchange for stolen
property.
This suspension shall remain in effect until it is dissolved or amended by order of the Supreme
Court of Tennessee.
