TULLAHOMA ATTORNEY REMAINS SUSPENDED
On February 17, 2011, the Tennessee Supreme Court entered an Order suspending Robert Thomas
Carter, Jr., based upon Mr. Carterâs guilty plea in State of Tennessee v. Carter for felony theft of property,
$10,000 - $60,000. The Supreme Court previously temporarily suspended Mr. Carter on July 21, 2010, for Mr.
Carterâs failure to substantially comply with his Tennessee Lawyers Assistance Program (TLAP) Monitoring
Agreement. The entry of this Order does not affect the continuation of the Supreme Courtâs July 21, 1010
Order.
The Supreme Court ordered the Board of Professional Responsibility to institute a formal proceeding to
determine the extent of final discipline to be imposed as a result of Mr. Carterâs conviction. Mr. Carter was
ordered to fully comply with the provisions of Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9, Section 18, concerning
suspended attorneys.
This suspension shall remain in effect until it is dissolved or amended by order of the Supreme Court of
Tennessee.
