ORDER TRANSFERRING ATTORNEY TO
DISABILITY INACTIVE STATUS
This matter is before the Court upon a petition to transfer William Robert Heck to
disability inactive status filed by the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility
pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 27.3.
Upon due consideration of documentation concerning Mr. Heck and the record as a
whole, the Court concludes William Robert Heck is currently incapacitated from
continuing the practice oflaw.
IT IS, THEREFORE, CONSIDERED, ORDERED, ADJUDGED, AND
DECREED BY THE COURT THAT:
1.
The law license of William Robert Heck shall be transferred to disability
inactive status for an indefinite period oftime and until further order ofthe Supreme Court.
2.
Mr. Heck shall be allowed to petition for reinstatement to active status
pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9,§ 27.7.
3.
The Board shall publish notice of this transfer pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R.
9, §§ 27.5 and 28.11.
4.
Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 32.4, documents other than this Order
relating to Mr. Heck's disability proceeding shall not be public records and shall be kept
confidential.
