Public censure on July 18, 1996. The Court of Criminal Appeals found him in contempt for
failing to timely file a brief and ordered Bagwell to file his brief by December 1, 1995; however,
he did not file the brief until December 4, 1995. The Court allowed the brief to be late filed but
ordered Bagwell to appear on January 16, 1996 at 9:30 A.M. to resolve the contempt matter. He
appeared on January 16, 1996 one hour late, and only after being telephoned by the Court's staff.
The Court found he was grossly negligent in failing to timely appear before the Court, but the
Court did not find him in contempt for failure to appear.
