PUBLIC CENSURE

The above complaint was filed against Edward Kendall White, IV; #17689, an attorney

licensed to practice law in Tennessee, alleging certain acts of misconduct. Pursuant to Tenn.

Sup. Ct. R. 9, the Board of Professional Responsibility considered these matters at its meeting on

September 9, 2016‘

K Mr. White filed an interpleador petition that looks any valid factual or legal basis. The

subject matter of the petition is a check jointly payable to two former clients that had been

erroneously mailed to Mr. White’s law firm. There were no funds to interplead, since a stop

payment was sueoessfillly placed on the check prior to the filing of the petition. Mr. White has

also failed to expedite the handling of the petition.

By these acts, Edward Kendall White, IV has violated Rules of Professional Conduct 3.1

(meritorious claims and contentions), and 3.2 (expediting litigation), and is hereby Puhlioly

Censured for these violations.
