NASHVILLE LAWYER SUSPENDED

On May 13, 2008, the Supreme Court of Tennessee issued an Order suspending William W. Leech’s
license to practice law for one (1) year with all time suspended except for three (3) months with Leech being on
probation for the remaining nine (9) months. After August 13, 2008, Leech is permitted to practice law but if
Leech fails to meet any of the conditions of his probation, Leech’s permission to practice law shall be
withdrawn with the remainder of the one (1) year suspension to be served by Leech.

The Board of Professional Responsibility filed a Petition for Discipline against Leech. Leech submitted
a Conditional Guilty Plea agreeing to the suspension and probation. The Supreme Court accepted Leech’s
Conditional Guilty Plea for a one (1) year suspension with all time suspended except for three (3) months with
Leech being on probation which resolves the Board of Professional Responsibility’s Petition for Discipline.

This disciplinary matter was held pursuant to Supreme Court Rules 8 and 9. Leech’s conduct violates
Rules 1.1 (competence); 1.3 (diligence on behalf of clients); 1.4 (adequate attorney-client communications);
1.15 (returning client’s property); 3.2 (expediting litigation); and 8.4 (misconduct), of the Tennessee Rules of
Professional Conduct.
