Public censure on January 12, 2000 for failing to escrow funds for the benefit of a third party out
of a former client's personal injury settlement. He had previously issued a letter recognizing his
former client's indebtedness to the third party as a lien on any recovery. He also accepted
representation in a civil matter knowing that the client's case had no merit and failed to promptly
withdraw as counsel; failed to properly withdraw as counsel for an indigent defendant after
receiving an adverse final decision; and allowed the statute of limitations to lapse in a client's
personal injury case.
