MURFREESBORO LAWYER PLACED ON DISABILITY INACTIVE STATUS
By Order of the Tennessee Supreme Court entered August 19, 2005, the law license of
David Lloyd Goad of Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, Tennessee, was transferred to disability
inactive status pursuant to Section 21 of Rule 9, Rules of the Supreme Court of Tennessee. Mr.
Goad filed a Petition for Transfer to Disability Inactive Status on July 25, 2005. Mr. Goad and
the Board of Professional Responsibility entered into an Agreed Order for Voluntary Transfer to
Disability Inactive Status. Mr. Goad's disability arises out of a medical condition which
incapacitates him from continuing the practice of law. Mr. Goad cannot engage in the practice of
law while on disability inactive status. Mr. Goad can return to the practice of law only after
reinstatement by Order of the Supreme Court upon showing by clear and convincing evidence
that his disability has been removed and that he is fit to resume the practice of law.
