PUBLIC CENSURE
The above complaint was ï¬led against Kent Lowery Booker? an attomey licensed to practice
law in Tennessee, alleging oertam acts of misconduct. Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, the Board
of Professional Responsibility considered these matters at its meeting on June 22, 2012. '
In an estate matter, the Respondent failed to act with reasonable diligence, failed to maintain
reasonable communication with his client, and failed to expedite litigation in violation of Rules 1.3,
1.4, and 3.2.. Furthermore, he misrepresented'to Disciplinary Counsel that he had ï¬led a dreï¬
accounting and proposed ï¬nal order with the probate court. Thus, the Respondent violated Rule
8.1(a).
By die aforementioned acts, Kent Lonely Booher has violated Rules of Professional
Conduct 1.3 (diligence), 1.4 (communication), 3.2 (expediting litigation), and 8.1(a) (bar admission
and disciplinary matters), and is hereby Publicly Censored for these violations.
