By Order of the Tennessee Supreme Court entered April 29, 2024, the law license of Jay Nelson
Chamness was transferred from inactive status to active status.
On December 8, 2024, the Supreme Court entered an Order of Removal from Disability Inactive Status,
requiring Mr. Chamness to remain on inactive status pending resolution of a pending disciplinary matter. On
April 17, 2024, Mr. Chamness resolved his pending disciplinary matter, and the Supreme Court entered an
Order of Reinstatement to Active Status, reinstating Mr. Chamness to active status effective April 17, 2024.
