On April 15, 2026, Beth Angel Garrison, an attorney licensed to practice law in Tennessee, received a
Public Censure from the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Tennessee Supreme Court.
A client hired Ms. Garrison to prepare an agreed order for reduction of his child support to which the other
parent had agreed. Ms. Garrison prepared the order and sent it to opposing counsel who requested minor changes.
Ms. Garrison failed to take any action for eight months, until she was contacted by her client. At that time, she
prepared the revised order and sent it to the client. After the client approved, however, Ms. Garrison failed to
send the agreement to opposing counsel.
By these acts, Beth Angel Garrison has violated Rules of Professional Conduct 1.3 (diligence), 1.4
(communication), and 1.16 (termination of representation) and is hereby Publicly Censured for these violations.
A Public Censure is a rebuke and warning to the attorney, but it does not affect the attorneyâs ability to
practice law.
