PUBLIC CENSURE

The above complaint was ï¬led against Karl Emmanuel Pulley, #12761, an attorney
licensed to practice law in Tennesseexalleging certain acts ofmisconduct. Pursuant to Tenn. Sup.

Ct. R. 9, the Board of Professional Responsibility considered these matters at its meeting on
December 9, 2016.
While representing a defendant in a criminal case, the Respondent met with and obtained
a statement from a co-detâendant in the case, Who was represented by another attorney. The
Respondent failed to notify or obtain permission from the attorney before oonnnunlcating with the
coâdefendant.

By the aforementioned acts, Karl Emmanuel Pulley has violated Rule of Professional
Conduct 4.2 (communication with a person represented by counsel) and is hereby Publicly
Censured for this Violation
