MARYVILLE LAWYER REINSTATED BY SUPREME COURT
Charles David Deas, a Maryville attorney, has been reinstated to the practice of law by
Order of the Tennessee Supreme Court entered on August 10, 2006. Mr. Deas was temporarily
suspended from the practice of law by Order of the Supreme Court filed June 16, 2006, for
failing to respond to complaints of misconduct. On June 9, 2006, Mr. Deas filed responses to the
complaints, and on June 22, 2006, Mr. Deas filed a Petition Requesting Dissolution of
Temporary Suspension. A hearing was conducted on June 26, 2006, before a Hearing Panel of
the Board of Professional Responsibility. On July 27, 2006, the Hearing Panel recommended
that the temporary suspension be dissolved. The August 10, 2006, Order of the Supreme Court
required Mr. Deas to pay the costs of the disciplinary proceeding.
