BOARD OF PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY
February 16, 2006
MURFREESBORO LAWYER TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED BY SUPREME COURT
By Order of the Supreme Court of Tennessee filed February 14, 2006, Kathy Ann
Sittloh's license to practice law was temporarily suspended, pursuant to Rules of the Supreme
Court of Tennessee, upon a finding that Ms. Sittloh had failed to respond to the Board of
Professional Responsibility concerning complaints of misconduct and posed a threat of
irreparable harm to the public.
Ms. Sittloh may continue to represent existing clients for thirty days. Ms. Sittloh must
cease representing all clients effective February 14, 2006, and may not accept new cases
following that date. After March 16, 2006, Ms. Sittloh shall not use any indicia of lawyer, legal
assistant, or law clerk, etc., nor maintain a presence where the practice of law is conducted.
The Order requires Ms. Sittloh to notify by registered or certified mail all clients being
represented in pending matters, as well as co-counsel and opposing counsel, of the Supreme
Court's Order suspending her law license. Section 18 of Supreme Court Rule 9 requires Ms.
Sittloh to deliver to all clients any papers or property to which they are entitled.
Ms. Sittloh may for good cause request dissolution or modification of this suspension by
petition to the Supreme Court. This suspension remains in effect until dissolution or
modification by the Supreme Court.
