PUBLIC CENSURE
The above complaint was ï¬led against Jeffrey James Mueller, #17127, an attorney
licensed to practice law in Tennessee, alleging certain acts of misconduct. Plummet to Tenn.
Sup. Ct. R. 9, the Board of Professional Responsibility considered these matters at its meeting on
31111610, 2016.
In a civil proceeding, Mlâ. Mueller failed to lodge an order as directed by the Court. Mr.
Mueller also failed to ï¬le an answer within the time period prescribed by the Court, which led to
the ï¬ling of a motion for default. Mr. Mueller had a conï¬ict when the motion for default was set
to be heard, but failed to take l'eaeonable steps to have the motion continued. The motion
for
default was granted after Mr. Mueller failed to appear or obtain a continuance.
Mr. Mueller
appealed the default judgment but the appeal was dismissed as frivolous due
to Mr. Mueller°s
failure to cite to the administrative record in hie hotel's.
