ORDER OF ENFORCEMENT
This matter is before the Court upon a Petition for Discipline filed against
Attorney Larry Dean Cantrell on November 9, 2017; upon a Petition for Final Discipline
filed against Mr. Cantrell on January 31, 2018; upon Motion to Consolidate filed on
January 31, 2018; upon entry of a Conditional Guilty Plea filed by Mr. Cantrell on
February 12, 2018; upon an Order Recommending Approval of Conditional Guilty Plea
entered on February 23, 2018; upon an Order Granting Motion to Consolidate entered on
February 23, 2018; upon consideration and approval by the Board on March 9, 2018; and
upon the entire record in this cause.
From all of which the Court approves the Order of the Hearing Panel and adopts
the Hearing Panel’s Order Recommending Approval of Conditional Guilty Plea as the
Court’s Order.
On February 7, 2017, Mr. Cantrell was suspended from the practice of law
pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 12.3 (Case No. M2017-00259-SC-BAR-BP). On
November 17, 2017, Mr. Cantrell was suspended from the practice of law pursuant to
Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 22.3 (Case No. M2017-02249-SC-BAR-BP). To date, Mr. Cantrell
has not been reinstated from these suspensions.
IT IS, THEREFORE, CONSIDERED,
DECREED BY THE COURT THAT:

ORDERED,

ADJUDGED

AND

(1)

Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 12.1, Larry Dean Cantrell is disbarred from the
practice of law.

(2)

Mr. Cantrell shall comply in all aspects with Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 28, and Tenn.
Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 30.4, regarding the obligations and responsibilities of disbarred
attorneys and the procedure for reinstatement.

(3)

Prior to seeking reinstatement, Mr. Cantrell must meet all CLE requirements and
pay any outstanding registration fees including those due from the date of
disbarment until the date of reinstatement.

(4)

Further, the Order of Temporary Suspension entered on February 7, 2017, in Case
No. M2017-00259-SC-BAR-BP, is hereby dissolved.

(5)

Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 28.1, this Order shall be effective immediately.

(6)

Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 31.3(d), Mr. Cantrell shall pay to the Board of
Professional Responsibility the expenses and costs of this matter in the amount of
$231.99 and shall pay to the Clerk of this Court the costs incurred herein, within
ninety (90) days of the entry of this Order, for all of which execution may issue if
necessary.

(7)

The Board of Professional Responsibility shall cause notice of this discipline to be
published as required by Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 28.11.
