MEMPHIS LAWYER PLACED ON DISABILITY
On April 9, 2002, the Supreme Court of Tennessee issued an Order transferring
the law license of Thomas Lee Hinson of Memphis, Tennessee, to disability inactive
status. Section 21, Rule 9, Rules of the Tennessee Supreme Court, provides that if a
lawyer is so incapacitated that he cannot adequately practice law, his law license may be
transferred to disability inactive status. In this case, Mr. Hinson agreed to the transfer.
Hinson shall remain on disability inactive status until such time as the Court adjudges
that his disability has been removed and his current status is returned pursuant to Rule 9,
Section 21, to that of being on temporary suspension pending the outcome of his
disciplinary proceeding.
