PUBLIC CENSURE
The above complaint was filed against Lindsey Leigh Lawrence, #032697,
licensed to practice law in Tennessee, alleging certain acts of misconduct.

Pursuant to Tenn. Sup.
Ct. R. 9, the Board of Professional Responsibility considered these matters at its meeting on June
14, 2024.
In the representation of clients in a civil proceeding, Ms. Lawrence failed to file a reply to a
counterclaim in compliance with applicable rules of court and failed to respond to written discovery,
resulting in entry of a default judgment and dismissal of her clientsâ claims.
Ms. Lawrence also
failed to keep her clients advised of the status of their case or respond to requests for information.
In a second matter where Ms. Lawrence was appointed as conservator over the estate of an adult
ward, Ms. Lawrence failed to pay the wardâs ongoing expenses, resulting in her removal as
conservator by the Court.
By these acts, Ms. Lawrence has violated Rule of Professional Conduct 1.3 (diligence), 1.4
(communication), 3.2 (expediting litigation) and is hereby Publicly Censured for these violations.
