FRANKLIN LAWYER REINSTATED TO THE PRACTICE OF LAW

On April 12, 2005, the Tennessee Supreme Court reinstated the law license of Byron R.
Simpson, who practiced law in Franklin, Tennessee until taking disability inactive status on
January 13, 2003.

The Order of the Tennessee Supreme Court found Simpson’s disability has been removed
and he is fit to practice law based upon the following conditions:

1. The Petitioner’s full compliance with all outstanding CLE requirements since
January 13, 2003, and

2. The Petitioner obtain a practice monitor, who shall provide monthly reports to the
Board for one (1) year;

3. That the Petitioner successfully completed his post-trial diversionary program and
all criminal charges were dismissed and expunged from his record prior to his
law license being reinstated;

4. The Petitioner’s professional privilege tax was paid; and

5. The Petitioner shall continue his compliance with his TLAP contract which shall
be extended an additional five (5) years.
