NASHVILLE ATTORNEY PLACED ON DISABILITY

On April 28, 2004, the Supreme Court of Tennessee issued an Order transferring the law
license of T. Edward Settles, of Nashville, Tennessee, to disability inactive status. Section 21,
Rule 9, Rules of the Supreme Court, provides that if a lawyer is so incapacitated that he cannot
adequately practice law, his law license may be transferred to disability inactive status. In this
case Mr. Settles petitioned the Court to transfer his law license to disability inactive status. Mr.
Settles’ license will remain on disability inactive status until such time as the Supreme Court
adjudges him fit for practice and active status is returned pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 9,
Section 21.
