CHATTANOOGA LAWYER REINSTATED BY SUPREME COURT

By Order of the Supreme Court entered October 31, 2002, Steven Douglas Brown's

on disability inactive status by Agreed Order entered by the Supreme Court on January 15, 2002,
due to drug dependence and bipolar disorder. Mr. Brown filed a Petition to be reinstated to
active status on September 12, 2002. The Court found that Mr. Brown had demonstrated that the
disability had been removed and that Mr. Brown was fit to return to the practice of law. Mr.
Brown entered into a contract with the Tennessee Lawyers Assistance Program. Mr. Brown was
also ordered to reimburse the Board of Professional Responsibility the costs and expenses of the
proceeding.
