NASHVILLE LAWYER SUSPENDED
Reginald Lamont Horton, a Nashville lawyer, was temporarily suspended from the practice of law by
the Tennessee Supreme Court on April 17, 2009, for posing a threat of substantial harm to the public. The
Board of Professional Responsibility petitioned the Court to temporarily suspend Mr. Horton for offering to
provide legal services in exchange for stolen property.
Pursuant to Section 4.3 of Rule 9, Rules of the Supreme Court, Mr. Horton cannot accept new clients or
undertake any new representation. He may represent existing clients for thirty (30) days, after which he cannot
represent them. Mr. Horton may file an application with the Tennessee Supreme Court requesting a dissolution
or modification of the temporary suspension order. If he makes such an application, a hearing to consider
whether the suspension should be continued, modified or dissolved will be conducted before a panel consisting
of members of the Board of Professional Responsibility.
