The above complaint was ï¬led against Tiffany Maroilymae 3011113, an attorney licensad to
practiw law in Tennessee, allaging certain acts of Hï¬swndu-ct. Pursuant to "farm. Sup. Ct. R. 9,
the Board of Professional Responsibility considered these mattars at its maeting on [December 6,
2013.
Raspandent represented a parfy in a child casted)! matter in Kantâucky. Respondent was
admitteé pro hac vice in Kantucky, and filed a motion to have the matter transferred to
Tenuesses where the. partiesâ divaroe had been ï¬naiized. At a haaring on July 2, 2012,
Respondent faisaly told the Kemucky Judge that Regpondent had spoken with a Kentucky Court
of Appeals Judge abcut the applicability of the Uniform Chiid Custody Jurisdiction and
Enforcmnent Act in Kentucky. At a healing on My 25, 2012, Raspondent falsely talc! the
Kentucky Judge that Respondent had spoken with a âï¬emaie justice, her law darkâ of the
Kentucky Court of Appeals 01112116 matter.
After ReSpondem ï¬leï¬ a petition to teammate the opposing pmtyâs mrental rights in
Tennessee, Respondent called the Temaessec Judge and ieï¬â a message: inquiriag whether the
Unifmâm Chiid Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcemmt Act wouid apply to fake mattar.
Finally, in response to a dirth questicm fmm the Kentucky Judgï¬z, Respondent told the
Judge that a hearing was set in the Tennassee matter on a particular data. In fact, no haaring had
bash docketed with the court clerk, and the oppoaing party had not been served with notice of the
hearing 91â the: patition.
By the aforemeutiomd acts, Tiffany Mamï¬ynne Johns has violated Rules of Professional
(Joachim: Rule 3.3(a) (candor to the tribunai) and 3.5(b) (ex parte communication with tribunal).
