LIVINGSTON LAWYER TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED BY SUPREME COURT
By Order of the Supreme Court of Tennessee filed August 13, 2004, Paul Allan Terry,
II's, license to practice law was temporarily suspended, pursuant to Section 4.3 of the Rules of
the Supreme Court of Tennessee, upon a finding that Mr. Terry had failed to respond to the
Board of Professional Responsibility concerning a complaint of misconduct.
Mr. Terry had previously been suspended by Order of the Supreme Court entered
September 24, 2003, for failing to comply with the requirements of Continuing Legal Education.
Mr. Terry shall not use any indicia of lawyer, legal assistant, or law clerk, etc., nor
maintain a presence where the practice of law is conducted.
The Order filed August 13, 2004, requires Mr. Terry to notify by registered or certified
mail all clients being represented in pending matters, as well as co-counsel and opposing
counsel, of the Supreme Court's Order suspending his law license. Section 18 of Supreme Court
Rule 9 requires Mr. Terry to deliver to all clients any papers or property to which they are
entitled.
Mr. Terry may for good cause request dissolution or modification of this temporary
suspension by petition to the Supreme Court. This temporary suspension remains in effect until
dissolution or modification by the Supreme Court.
