ORDER TRANSFERRING ATTORNEY TO
DISABILITY INACTIVE STATUS
This matter is before the Court upon a petition to transfer Stacy D. Attkisson to
disability inactive status ï¬led by the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility
pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 27.3.
Upon due consideration of documentation from Ms. Attkissonâs medical care
provider submitted by Ms. Attkissonâs conservator, the Court concludes that Stacy D.
Attkisson is currently incapacitated from continuing the practice of law.
IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED BY THE
COURT THAT:
1. The law license of Stacy D. Attkisson shall be transferred to disability
inactive Status for an indefinite period of time and until further orders of the Supreme
Court.
2. Ms. Attkisson shall be allowed to petition for reinstatement to active status
pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 27.7.
3. The Board shall publish notice of this transfer pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R.
9, §§ 27.5 and 28.11.
4. Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 32.4â, documents other than this Order
relating to Ms. Attkissonâs disability proceeding shall not be public records and shall be
kept conï¬dential.
